The intent of this course is, based on the design of some current fish species’ swim bladders or lack of the same, to give the students an example of evolution and the possibilities the variations provides when taking new habitats and environments. Furthermore the intent is to further the understanding of terms such as variation, evolution, selection and adaption.
The course is made from an exercise in the laboratory and an assignment which is to be resolved in the exhibition and by the aquariums. The assignments can be deselected.
Teacher: Elisabeth Friis-Rødel, biologist.
